Why Get a FREE Site Evaluation?

Why do you need a FREE site evaluation? Because it's the only way to know how much you'll save. We evaluate a number of factors and custom design a solar system that maximizes your energy production, savings, investment return and cash flow. Here are just a few of the steps we go through on every job.

1. Solar Array Location & Orientation

We start by identifying and measuring all of the potential locations to mount solar panels. These are the larger south facing roof areas and open fields (for ground mounted systems). We then evaluate the efficiency of each option based on the tilt angle and direction the panels are facing, looking for the most productive locations.

Panels will still produce 95% of maximum power, when:

  • Facing Southeast to Southwest (225-135 Deg.)
  • Tilted anywhere from 12-38 Degrees

2. Shading Analysis

Solar panels are very sensitive to shading and should have access to the sun from around 9 AM to 3 PM. We carefully assess any shading potential with computer-aided tools that determine the dates and times when a location will be shaded. This allows us to adjust the array position and orientation to minimize shading and maximize solar production and savings.

Our computer-aided tools allow us to accurately measure shading so we know exactly how much energy and savings you'll generate.

3. Installation Evaluation

For rooftop solar systems, the condition of the roof covering and underlying structural support must be carefully evaluated. We will thoroughly inspect the condition of the roof, carefully evaluate the integrity of the structural supports and install your system using the most stringent industry standards. Our best-in-class attachment methods ensure long-term reliability and weatherproofing on any roof type.

Roof mounting

For ground-mounted solar systems, we carefully evaluate the terrain, slope, elevations, soil conditions and erosion. We select the most stable location that is closest to the electrical infrastructure and build the array to stand the test of time.

4. Electrial Assessment

We carefully assess the existing electrical equipment and make sure they are sufficient for a new solar system. In particular, we'll inspect the conductors, conduit, fuses, breakers, switchgear and more. We also identify appropriate locations to mount the inverter, run conduit and connect the remaining components.

We take the time and effort to make sure our electrical work is safe, reliable and aesthetically pleasing.

5. Energy Usage and Rate Analysis

In order to properly design a solar system, we need to know how and when our customers use electricity. We will collect 12-24 months of usage history, analyze the utility rates and then design the solar system to maximize your financial returns. A properly designed system will offset the majority of your monthly bill and protect you from future rate hikes.

We carefully analyze energy usage to custom design systems that maximize the financial returns for our customers.
